Welcome BackPage.com readers!
Welcome to www.JeffsShorts.com. As you can see this site is
in its infancy. But I've got grand plans. Part of the plan is to never
compromise on the quality of the stories. That's why there are only four stories
up on the site now.
I had a fifth story I was working with! It was original, I
liked the main character, and I was very curious as to where the story was going. I was also
wondering about whether or notshe would go there! The
author, it was her first work, she and I edited the story over a period of
about two weeks and when we were almost finished...
she disappeared!
There
was no more e-mail contact from her. I tried the phone number (in
Jamaica
) that
she had provided and when I called the recording said that the number had been...
disconnected or was no longer in service
I am concerned and wondering what if anything I should do
next. For now I am just sitting and waiting.
But...
I was so
close!...I had placed her picture on the Visitors Home Page. I had put her
name and the name of her story in their proper places. It was all sitting on my computer waiting to be finalized and transfered to the live site. And it looked terrific.
I was excited that visitors would finally be able to see my concept...
...To publish fun interesting stories and to celebrate the writers by also publishing their photos and their autobiographies.
This brings me back to backpage.com users. And everyone else
