Joshua Alpert
Joshua Alpert was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1972. From there his life took him through a fairly normal childhood awash with community-building sports victories, instilling a life-long passion for football, baseball, and hockey.
Joshua attended college at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Faced with either graduate school or law school due to the paucity of philosopher jobs, Joshua chose law school, graduating from The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Joshua’s career has been nearly all dedicated to politics and policy, having worked as a lobbyist, political consultant, campaign manager, policy advisor to a city commissioner, and program manager fighting Big Tobacco. Currently Joshua is the Northwest Conservation Finance Director with The Trust for Public Land, based in Portland, Oregon.
