Felicia Antonia Roberts was born in Kingston, Jamaica in October 1974, and at an early age developed an interest in the arts. Writing poems was her favourite childhood past time and her teachers and family soon realized she was a natural.
A past student of the Queens High School, Felicia dabbled in mostly every creative activity. She was part of the dance group for two years before discovering drama in fourth form. Drama led to her achievement of Commendable Acting Awards in the High School Drama Festival two years in a row; just missing out on the Best Actress Award in 1991.
For four (4) years, Felicia practiced journalism writing for a Jamaican tabloid newspaper, Xcess. She wrote a series of fiction stories, features and to a small extent news items. Also as an employee of the Jamaica Observer Limited and the Gleaner Company limited she has written numerous articles (without bylines) for and about companies in special advertising features published by them, such as the Hagley Park Road Feature of 2002 (Observer).
Now, Felicia has rediscovered her passion and continues to express herself with poems, songs, plays, stories which draw from her life experiences as well as others around her.
She is confident that her talent will be recognized if she continues her efforts and believes once there is life there’s a story to tell.
