“Failure to bring pleasure to a man.” The words were somber, heavy, spoken in an unaccented monotone.
“Details.” Judge Richards spoke to the clerk.
“Not deemed necessary by The State, Your Honor. The female has confessed and shown no remorse.”
“Execute her.” Judge Richards frowned. It was always amazing that a female could ever do something so un-natural.
“Next case.”
“Refusal to bring pleasure to a man.”
“Details.”
“The accused statement is that she would not meet her boyfriend’s needs unless he would also bring pleasure to her.”
“Have her gang raped. The boyfriend may go first.” This was the standard punishment. Perhaps it was what these young women wanted in the first place? The Judge wondered. Imagine the pleasure they would be bringing.
“Next case.”
“Failure to bring charges against a female for the crime of: Failure to Bring Pleasure to a Man.”
These cases were extremely rare. And as such they were potential turning points in a young Judge’s career. Therefore, it was “By the Book” or if the Judge was extremely aggressive, “With Creativity”.
“With Creativity” was not in Judge Richards genetic code. So it was “By the Book.”
“Who makes the accusation?”
“Audio witness Your Honor. The tenant in the apartment above that of the accused listens in all of the accused’s empleasurement sessions with women by placing a stethoscope to the floorboards. His testimony is that the accused makes distinct noises during orgasm and that the during the accused’s sexual relations with his female of choice on Saturday the 23, these noises failed to occur. The accuser assures the court of his own Obtainment of Pleasure during the session of record.
…and then, Judge Richards to the accused…”Explanation.”
“I’m in love. The pleasure is more than just physical.”
“Love is not significant in finding a female more than a burden. By your failure to bring charges against such a female you have shown your contempt for mankind. Because of this you have achieved female status and the case will be handled in those terms.”
Richards hesitated on the words having thought them previously to be only part of the history books, of that antiquated document The Constitution. What an incredible situation it was to actually have to pronounce them in an educated society. Imagine, a man risking his life for the love a woman!
Why? Afterall he could have simply gotten another one.
“Drawn and quartered.” came the sentence.
“Bailiff, The woman? Has she been taken into custody?”
“That female is your next case Your Honor.”
“Execute her. Next case.”
“Failure to bring pleasure to a man.” It was almost too much. Most every Monday it was the same thing.
“Details.”
“Your Honor…” came the guilty’s voice.
“Silence female. You will speak only when spoken to.”
“But Your Honor, I’m in love.”
“Contempt of Court.
And then there was silence. Richards hesitated again. This time the guilty had been a friend. But Failure To Bring Pleasure?, Contempt of Court? No that friendship feeling was gone now. Still, as a Full Judge, the “Judges Personal Service” sentence was always an exercisable option. A new female might be interesting though that was never more than a 50/50 chance.
No. The female was guilty and undeserving.
“Execute.”
Said without doubt.
And then spoke the bailiff, “Judge Richards, your docket has been cleared for the rest of the day. That was your last case.”
A smile came to the young judge. At least twenty cases had been cancelled. It was only 2:00. There would be a “chambers call” coming. That was obvious. But who would it be?
And sure enough the call came via messenger while the Judge was in quarters. It read, “Judge Richards. You are to report to the Judge’s lounge immediately.”
Now it was known. Or almost. The Judge’s lounge meant either Judge Broderick C. Quarval or Judge Julius Rodriguez. They were the only two that used the lounge. The others used their chambers. Judge Richards smiled. Maybe, hopefully, it would be both men. Afterall they were the men who had gotten her, her promotion to Judge.
